Exclusive South African Wine Dinner at dusitD2 baraquda pattaya

Pattaya, Thailand – dusitD2 baraquda pattaya in collaboration with South African – Thai Chamber of Commerce, Food.com, and Hildenbrand Wines & Olive Estate, hosted ‘A Journey to South Africa’ an exclusive South African wine dinner on Saturday 15 January 2011 at the poolside terrace of dusitD2 baraquda Pattaya, attended by the South African Ambassador, the Honourable Douglas Gibson as the guest of honour.

dusitD2 baraquda pattaya took guests on a culinary journey to the world’s most epic continent to sample some of the world’s most delectable wines from the Western Cape, South Africa.

Top wines from the South African Cape was featured and highlighted by Ms Reni Hildenbrand, as an ambassador, owner and producer of Hildenbrand wines. Guests have been treated to sensational tasting wines crafted by loving hands and described by Reni herself, who is the driving force of the 300-year old historic cellar and vineyard featured as a journey to South Africa.  Guests had the chance to feel like they were out on the farm enjoying the wonders of the Cape with a specially prepared South African inspired cuisine and savouring the flavours from the matching wines to savour.

The first pour served with canapés at the alfresco roof top bar – Sunset Lounge, allow guests to enjoy the sunset over the gulf of Thailand before shifting to the pool terrace to continue the five-course wine journey. Modern classical jazz singers ensured good vibrations and created just the right atmosphere to enjoy the mellow mood with mellow wines.
