La Trattoria celebrated the 7th International Day of Italian Cuisines (IDIC)
Phuket, Thailand – La Trattoria, one of Phuket’s most distinguished fine Italian restaurants, participated in the seventh International Day of Italian Cuisines (IDIC) 2014, celebrated worldwide on 17th January.
The official dish of the IDIC 2014 is Spaghetti al dente with tomato sauce and basil, one of the simplest yet most sophisticated dishes of the Italian cuisne. The dish was celebrated by the Virtual Group of Italian Chefs, a network of over 1,900 culinary professionals working in 70 countries. Our Executive Chef Silvano Almolini and his team joined the celebration by offering the dish on a special menu on 17th January at La Trattoria.
The International Day of Italian Cuisines helps to ensure that consumers recieive authentic and quality Italian cuisine in eateries labelled “Italian,” as the organisation believes that when the name of a traditional Italian dish is used, that dish should be prepared in the traditional manner.
