Dubai, United Arab Emirates - The football fever might have cooled down few weeks back at the victory of Spain, but certainly not at Dusit Thani Dubai. The venue, MyBar, was buzzing and sizzling as ever with the final kick-off of Thirsty Thursdays in conjunction with the anticipated draw of the Trip for two to Thailand raffle last 29 July 2010.
Roger Macmillan, a 39-year-old Scotsman, has been welcomed by the warm breeze of Middle Eastern summer just last May 2010. With about two months of stay in Dubai, Macmillan found both a sanctuary and playground in Dusit Thani Dubai. “My stay since I got here has been nothing but fantastic. I was surrounded by delightful staff. The ambience has a wonderful feel to it. And tonight has made it even more incredible,” shares the wide-eyed winner of the grand prize. He was awarded by Dusit Thani Dubai General Manager, Mr. James Wilson, Director of Sales & Marketing Mr. Leon Salinel and Food & Beverage Manager Mr. Subarna Thapa a total of seven nights of complimentary stay at Dusit Thani Hotels & Resorts.
His winnings include one night stay at Dusit Thani Dubai’s Grand Room prior to the flight to the exotic Thai destinations, three nights stay with club benefits at Dusit Thani Bangkok’s Grand Room, three nights stay at Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket’s Deluxe Lagoon View and roundtrip plane tickets for two - courtesy of Dusit Thani Dubai.
Macmillan is one of the nearly 20 loyal guests qualified to the draw. They came. They saw. And they cheered their hearts out at MyBar as they collected 10 stamps for every visit during the period of 11 June to 11 July 2010 with a minimum of AED25 spend. Without a particular team that he was rooting for, Macmillan simply enjoyed each game and chilled out with friends. Adding, “It has been such a great place to be. It offers superb experience in various levels.”
Macmillan gushed with excitement as it will be his first time to set foot on the ‘land of smiles’: “First, it is terrific that I will get to experience more of the Dusit Thani hotel chains. As I have never been to Thailand, I would like to try the authentic spirit and food the country is best known for.”
As any game would have ended, all aimed for one goal and yet there has to be only a sole victor. Call it luck or fate, but Roger Macmillan has won what could be an experience of a lifetime—precisely what Dusit Thani Dubai is all about.
