Dusit Thani Manila
Exclusive India Night at Dusit Thani Manila
One of the most authentic evenings of Indian culture in Manila
Makati, Philippines – Dusit Thani Manila played host to an India Night, a wonderful evening of gourmet Indian cuisine and world-class Indian performance organized by Ms. Christine Cunanan in cooperation with the Embassy of India, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, and Dusit Thani Manila. The event was presided over by H.E. Ambassador Yogendra Kumar, the Indian ambassador to the Philippines.
During this India Night, which is the first cultural event organised in Manila, Dusit Thani Manila created a unique five-course Indian set especially arranged by Chef Naushad Alam for its special 240 guests at the event. Additionally, all guests who attended the India Night were facinated by a special concert, featuring Zunain Khan, the son of the legendary musician Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan, and Abhijit Roychoudhury, one of India’s most prominent artists as the finale of the night.
“India’s diversity is its primary asset in its culinary elegance. Here at Dusit Thani Manila, we braved the challenge in providing our guests with a foretaste of its diversities with a 5-Course Indian degustation meal personally prepared by myself and Dusit Thani Manila’s two Indian chefs. Aside from this, we also take pride in our famed Indian Buffet spread available daily at Basix as well as playing host to Indian Weddings here in Manila; with nothing else in mind but to please our guests’ discerning palates and give them a glimpse of the colorful and tantalizing dining experience that is truly Incredibly India!”, said Mr. Prateek Kumar, general manager of Dusit Thani Manila.
The India Night was attended by top government officials, ambassadors, prominent business partners, media, and guests with cultural passion.
