Dusit Thani Manila Bags 15 Awards at the Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards
Makati, Philippines – Dusit Thani Manila, Dusit International’s flagship property in Manila, won a landslide of 15 awards at the Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards (HAPA) held last November 17-18 at Capella Singapore and Meritus Mandarin, Singapore. It was the highest number of awards won among the hotels in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Philippines. The list of awards won includes:

The awards were based on mystery audits conducted by a panel of judges over the past six months and included hotels and spas from all over ASEAN.

About Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards (HAPA)
After a six-month judging process, a record-breaking number of 167 nominees have been garnered– 62 from Malaysia, 48 from Singapore, 25 from Indonesia, 24 from Thailand and the remainder from Vietnam and the Philippines – indicating a significant 20 percent growth in participation since the first HAPA Regional in 2008.
In line with HAPA’s 10th anniversary this year, a new concept to the awards was introduced by recognizing the ‘Best 10 in Asia’. All categories will have two groups of awardees; the Platinum and Gold. For instance, HAPA Signature Luxury Hotel category will have 5 Platinum winners and 5 Gold winners. In the Major Award categories, the top scorer amongst the Platinum winners will emerge as the ultimate winner.
Charity has always been a significant part of HAPA as a form of giving back to society. This year, the chosen charity is the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Singapore. The Adopt-A-Wish Programme created by the foundation allows individuals or companies to adopt and grant the heartfelt wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.
