Dusit Thani Pattaya celebrates World Environment Day 2010

With a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, Dusit Thani Pattaya led by Mr. Chatchawal Supachayanont, General Manager, celebrated World Environment Day 2010 on June 5th at the Jittapawan Temple in North Pattaya.  With their brooms and cleaning tools in hand, they offered to help spruce up the temple’s compound including its pavilion and halls for merit-making ceremonies.

The day’s commemoration was part of the hotel’s CSR activities through social contributions organised by its Green Leaf Committee, who oversees the strict implementation of in-house policies towards water and energy conservation, waste management, chemical reduction and charity work for the community. The hotel makes a monthly visit to the temple to offer cash donations and other basic necessities.

On 26 May, the hotel was accompanied by its friends and associates when it visited Jittapawan Temple for a merit-making ceremony and to offer donations. The significance of the day was deeper and more solemn as it carried a heartfelt and personal note from those who attended and offered their prayers.
