Green Credentials

Dusit Thani Pattaya has continually enjoyed the 5 leaves awarded by the Green Leaf Foundation since 2003. The Green Leaf Certificate of 5 leaves is the highest level awarded to a hotel signifying its excellence in environmental management. Since then, the five-star resort has received numerous awards and recognitions for its continued adherence to its strict in-house programmes and policies towards being environmentally-friendly.

Part of Dusit Thani Pattaya's Green Credentials are as follows:

• Herbal welcome drinks to be served to meeting delegates
• Use of appropriate lunch box size to fit amount of food so no paper is wasted
• Use of brown rice as an alternative in the buffet or set lunch
• In food preparation for meeting participants, utilise used oil in the kitchen by combining it with fuel for the boiler system to reduce the amount of bunker oil
• Use of jars and bottles instead of pre-packaged seasonings to reduce packaging waste; and serving milk and brown sugar in bowls instead of individual packs
• Deliver safe-to-donate foods to charitable community
• Serve organic granola bars in place of mint candy
• Utilise the hotel's wide garden landscape and outdoor venue for meetings to reduce the use of air-conditioned rooms
• Turn off LCD projector when not in use for a long period of time during a meeting and put on stand-by mode
• Use of only cold water in washroom
• Use of recycled linen as hand wipes in washroom
• Use of scented oil burner in washroom
• Use of paper instead of Styrofoam in making backdrops for meetings
