Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket joins for ‘Phuket Green Island campaign

Phuket, Thailand – Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket and the Phuket Provincial Government, Society Environment Economy Knowledge (SEEK) – A sustainable Phuket,PADI Dive and over 4,000 participants have teamed up for the “Phuket Green Island” campaign.

The campaign is held in honour of retiring Phuket Governor Tri Augkaradacha who during his tenure, has driven the campaign and its aim of increasing environmental awareness.

’Dive against Debris Cleanup’ with over 300 registered divers began on Sunday, September 30 when fishing rope and marine debris, and plastic refuse from Koh Racha and Phi Phi Island was collected, while a “Island Wide Beach Clean – Beaches against Debris” saw our management and staff trun their attention to a 7 kilometre beach front stretch in Bangtao bay, on Monday 01 October, 4-6pm.
