Flagship Hotel of Dusit International in the Middle East welcomes the Crown Prince of Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum strengthens his role as the Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council by gracing the graduation ceremony of the Hamdan Bin Mohammad Programme for Sports Leadership Development, and presenting degree certificates to 20 young men and four young women.

The graduation was held at the Al Wasl Ballroom of Dusit Thani Dubai on 24 June 2010. The 18-month course is an equivalent of a Master Degree in Sports Management, the first of its kind in the region.

Dubai’s participation in world sporting events has been made possible through the various programmes initiated and supported by the Dubai Sports Council. Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, Mattar Al Tayer and Secretary-General of the UAE National Olympic Committee, Saeed Abdul Gafour both expressed their high hopes on the new generation of young sports leaders. IPC Academy Director Chris Solly (whose institution is affiliated with the World Academy of Sports) enthuses how the extensive modules resulted to the development of a nation’s dream of sports advancement.
