1598 Wallerstein Beer Launching at Benjarong Royal, Dusit Thani Bangkok
Bangkok - Germany’s most sought after premium beer — 1598 Fürst Wallerstein Edition privée – made its grand Asian debut on 23rd February with an exclusive Thai Set Dinner at the Benjarong Restaurant of Dusit Thani Bangkok.
His Serene Highness Prince Carl-Eugenzu Oettingen Wallerstein and his wife, Her Serene Highness Princess Anna flew into Bangkok especially for the launch of the prestigious beverage which originally was only produced for the private use within the Princely house of Oettingen Wallerstein. The Princes of Wallerstein go back some 900 years and have been brewing beer since 1598 for the enjoyment of their personal guests.
“The inspiration came through my relationship with Mr Chanin, the friendship between our families, and the image and brand Dusit Thani stands for,” said the Prince. “What Better venue to launch our exclusive 1598 edition privee than the most traditional Thai heritage hotel in Bangkok.”
The exclusive launch was held in association with distinguished attendees which included The German Ambassador and sponsors FIN (fabulous is needed), and Maserati Thailand. The hotel Executive Chef, Erwin Eberharter creatively fused Thai and Western dishes to match this princely premium German beverage.
FW 1598 is now available in top restaurants and hotels in Germany, such as the Hotel Adlon in Berlin, Sansibar Sylt, and Dallmayr Munich, and some specially selected venue around the world. Some of Germany’s best chef-cooks have created signature dishes especially for 1598 Fürst Wallerstein. It will be available in the Thai market around August this year; at about THB 5,000 with only 1,000 bottles for the first year and initially Dusit Thani Bangkok will be the exclusive venue for this royal beverage.
