Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket rolls out Dusit Charity Cup 2012

Phuket, Thailand – Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket will hold its second bowling tournament, the Dusit Charity Cup 2012, on 28 July 2012 at CS Bowl, Big C Supercentre Phuket. The winning team will be awarded the Governor’s Cup trophy inscribed by Phuket Governor Tri Augaradacha.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the ongoing ‘Dusit Smiles – Operation Smile Thailand’ programme that raises funds for  the worldwide charitable organization which mobilizes medical professionals to provide safe and effective reconstructive surgery for children born with facial deformities, such as cleft lip and cleft palate.

Dusit International adopted Operation Smile (www.operationsmile.org) as its primary Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partner in early 2010. Recently, the second Dusit Smile mission gathered donations from envelopes placed in rooms and throughout Dusit International hotels, plus the proceeds of charity auctions, staff donations and sporting fundraisers. The money was used to fund treatment for 85 children in Maharaj Hospital, Nakhon Ratchasima province, north-eastern Thailand.
