Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket welcomes new Director of Food & Beverage

Phuket, Thailand – Mr Peter Komposch, General Manager of Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Alfred Spieler as the resort’s new Director of Food & Beverage, as of 16 July 2012.

“We are bringing together a dynamic and professional team. said Mr Komposch. “Mr Spieler brings more than 25 years of culinary experience gained at Global Hotel Group. He will be a major asset and provide inspiration to more than 100 colleagues in his Food & Beverage team.”

In his new role, Mr Spieler will create new initiatives and develop strategies to enhance the overall Food & Beverage experience, as well as oversee the six superb dining outlets and bars at Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket. These include La Trattoria Italian restaurant, Ruen Thai Royal Thai cuisine, Casuarina Beach Restaurant and Pub for seafood grilled on the beach, Laguna Café offering a variety of international cuisine, Poolside Café and Horizon Lounge, as well as 24-hour in-room dining.

Mr Spieler began his culinary career in 1983 after graduating with a degree in hotel management in Austria. He has held positions in hotels including the Ramses Hilton Cairo, Egypt; Sentosa Resort & Spa, Singapore; the Renaissance Yangtze Hotel, Shanghai, China and the courtyard by Marriott, Pudong – Shanghai, China.  Before joining Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, he served as the Director of Food & Beverage at the Marriott Nanning in China.
