Healthy Holiday Healthy Stay at Green Hotels

Dusit Thani Pattaya recently reaffirmed its status as an environmentally-friendly hotel by showcasing an array of its green practices and products, including all-natural food and drinks offered to its guests, such as Ginger Ale, Roselle, Bale Fruit, Longan, Chrysanthemum and Lemongrass juice and cookies during the “Healthy Holiday Healthy Stay at Green Hotels” seminar and exhibition held in Bangkok. The five-star resort was joined by the Devarana Spa and its signature fitness centre, DFiT, in distributing recycled bags made of cloth, bio-fertiliser samples, organic food and drinks as well as tree saplings to those who attended the exhibition.

The event was organised by Green Leaf Foundation (Thailand), Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Thai Hotels Association to promote new alternatives for a healthy lifestyle and health-friendly environment through the use of organic food and drinks, and the preservation of the earth’s natural resources.

Special guest speakers Dr. Suvit Yodmanee, President of the Green Leaf Foundation and Vice President Dr. Jirapol Sinthunava urged hotels and other organisations to continue their efforts and contributions towards educating people about the long-term benefits of their green products and practices towards a healthy environment.

Dusit Thani Pattaya has been the recipient of a ‘Certificate of Five Leaves’ from the Green Leaf Foundation since 2002, signifying the hotel’s excellence in environmental management.

Recently, the resort received a certificate of recognition from EarthCheck, the world’s leading certification programme for establishments whose objective is to practice and develop sustainable programs and initiatives in the support of a greener environment.
