One with the World during the Earth Hour 2011 Global Action

Dusit Thani Pattaya was one of the hotels and resorts under the wing of Dusit International that participated in Earth Hour 2011, the world’s largest public initiative aimed at taking responsibility for our environmental impact and joining other supporting countries that are committed to making global environmental changes. Hotel guests switched off the lights in their room and joined hotel staff and management at the Lobby Lounge where the Earth Hour from 8:30 – 9:30 pm was spent with complimentary canapés and snacks, 50 per cent discount on drinks and a special hotel performance in which guests also candidly took part. Being an environmentally-friendly resort, Dusit Thani Pattaya adheres to strict implementation of environmental policies and has been the driving force in Pattaya towards raising awareness on green campaigns and sustainability programmes. The five-star resort has been enjoying the Five Leaves award from Thailand’s Green Leaf Foundation, the highest level of recognition for its continued efforts towards a greener environment. The Earth Hour 2011 programme was one of the many environmental activities that the hotel has been actively supporting over the years.
