Preserving the Songkran Culture and Tradition

The staff and management of Dusit Thani Pattaya celebrated the Songkran Festival in a traditional way as they have done over the years to preserve and honour the Thai culture and tradition. Photo shows the hotel staff performing the Songkran practice of pouring scented water with flower petals over the hands of the five-star resort’s General Manager, Mr Chatchawal Supachayanont as they wish him a happy Songkran also known as the Thai New Year. The resort celebrates the custom on the 13 of April, the first day of the festival and they are joined by invited monks to perform the merit-making ceremonies in the Napalai Convention Hall after the alms offering in the convention hall’s wide foyer.
