New Top Management at Dusit Thani Dubai Ready to Take on Challenges of 2013

Dusit Thani Dubai’s top management has been joined by three industry veterans ready to continue driving the hotel and their respective teams to bigger and greater achievements this year and beyond. In the brief period since joining the hotel, they have put in place and implemented new strategies and practices that will help boost Dusit Thani Dubai’s position in an ever-growing competitive market.
The hotel’s top management is now headed up by the new General Manager, Prateek Kumar, who was previously General Manager of sister property Dusit Thani Manila, in the Philippines. Prateek has extensive experience in luxury hotel brands in Singapore and took on the role of General Manager of the Manila property following its extensive refurbishment, heading up the successful re- launch of the property.
Graduating with a Diploma in Catering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management from the Griffith University in Australia, Prateek went on to work for a number of properties, including being responsible for the successful pre-opening of Ascott Raffles Place in Singapore’s financial centre. He has also worked for the Raffles Group, Starwood and the Renaissance Group.
Eliza Artiaga has joined Dusit Thani Dubai as the new Director of Rooms. She has more than seven years of experience in the position for various international hotels after becoming the youngest Director of Rooms for Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts at the age of 21. She was part of the pre opening team at 12 luxury hotels in America, New Zealand, and the Middle East. Her passion for hospitality has seen her recently leading her teams to win major awards from DTCM for: Best Concierge Team; Best Chief Concierge; and Best Concierge.
Rounding up the team, Kevin Winters takes over the post of Director of Engineering. The Canadian national has extensive experience in opening and managing luxury hotels and resorts in the Middle East, Bermuda and Canadian Rockies. His 12 years within the Hospitality industry has seen him being part of the pre opening team of three hotels in the UAE. His previous experience includes facilitating maintenance, construction in institutions, hotels and luxury resorts.
