Hotel staff and management join the 2013 King’s Cup Pattaya Marathon

On Sunday, 21 July, Dusit Thani Pattaya joined the 16th King’s Cup Pattaya Marathon also attended by both local and international runners of all ages and all walks of life.
The marathon featured the full 42.2 km race, a half and a quarter runs, a wheelchair marathon and a 3.5 km race for students. African athletes dominated the list of top seven positions in the men’s marathon led by Kenyan Joseph Kariuki while the women’s division was won by Rose Chekurui Kosgei, also from Kenya. Thai runners scooped awards for the half and quarter races while the wheelchair marathon was won by last year’s champion and London 2012 Paralympic athlete, Prawat Wahoram. Meanwhile, Phuripat Boranphul and Chutika Thungthong took home the prizes for the students race.
Chonburi MP Poramed Ngampichet thanked the hotel participants for their support and expressed appreciation for Dusit Thani Pattaya’s contribution to the annual King’s Cup Pattaya Marathon.
