Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
As part of the company's commitment in contributing to the well-being of the communities in which we operate, Dusit International embraces Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) philanthropy through the extensive activities within Dusit hotels and resorts and business units across the world. As a corporation, we realise that we are playing a vital role in sharing and promoting the principles of CSR due to the growing concerns of social and economic issues that surround us. CSR not only consists of doing the right thing, but also to behave responsibly as an organisation and encourage our guests as well as our business partners and employees to follow the same values. This is to ensure that we are truly enlivening the individual spirits of all the people upon whom we have come to meet and cooperate.
To reach such goal, we have made children our top priority as they are the future of our society. Giving them the opportunities to learn, to grow, and to live with good health and happiness will help create a solid foundation for the long-term development of every community.
One of our CSR initiatives for children emerged from this philosophy is "Dusit Smiles", which has become our global charity programme companywide. To heal children's smiles and make the world a better place, we have partnered with Operation Smile (www.operationsmile.org), a worldwide organisation that mobilises a force of medical professionals and caring hearts to provide safe, effective reconstructive surgery for children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip and cleft palate.
Through an extensive year-round activity under Dusit Smiles, we are not only helping to raise funds to support numbers of operations, but also uplifting awareness among our clients, partners, and employees via training, mission visits, government relations, marketing and public relations, and others.

Globally, corporations have been playing an increasingly important role in sharing and promoting the principles of sustainability both within their organisations and throughout the broader community. With consumers now having to adapt their lifestyles in response to growing pressures on the environment, their expectations and choices of travel destinations and experiences are also evolving. It will be important for the future viability of corporations to ensure they are prepared and able to respond to consumers' environmental choices and changing expectations on responsible tourism.
