Mr James Robert Wilson


Vice President – Operations, Dusit International

Graduating from the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland in Hotel & Institutional Management with a Postgraduate in Law & Administration, he went on to become an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators A.C.I.S.

His key responsibilities focus upon brand strategy, refining and developing operations, services, policies, as well as coordinating all new openings of all Dusit Princess Hotels & Resorts, under Dusit International.  

Formerly General Manager of Pathumwan Princess Hotel, Bangkok for six years, his stint was remarkable for the hotel’s international award-winning dining outlets, staff development and extensive renovations. Pathumwan Princess was the first hotel managed by Dusit International to achieve ISO 9001 (2000) certification. Furthermore, his own distinguished performance marks him the first recipient to receive the coveted industry award of “The Best General Manager”,  in Jacob’s Creek Thai Hospitality Awards 2005, organized by Thailand Hospitality Magazine.

Born in Northern Ireland, Mr. Wilson brings over 20 years of experience in his field of hotel operations. Upon entering the industry, Mr. Wilson held management positions with leading international 5-star hotels in the United Kingdom. At 32 years old, he received his first General Manager appointment in Scotland. In subsequent years there followed further General Manager appointments in England, Scotland and Thailand.
