The Thailand Energy Award 2007, under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy, recently awarded 1st prize to Dusit Island Resort, Chiang Rai for its outstanding "Hybrid Solar-Waste Heat Water Heater System, OFF-GRID" category, under the Re-Project Competition, organized by Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy. This system, which provides energy from recycled waste water, was devised by Dusit Island Resort.
