Bangkok, August 23, 2012  Dusit International, a leading Asian hospitality group, has announced expansion plans to further boost its sales operations in key emerging markets in Asia Pacific and has consolidated the regional sales offices in Germany and  the UK  to form a larger European sales base headquartered in London.

Within the Global Sales office in Bangkok, Dusit International has created two key positions including the Director of Sales (Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States - CIS) and appointed a Korean senior sales manager to provide coverage for these key source markets.

In addition,  Dusit International has appointed Hotel Representation Australia (HRA) as its regional sales representative for Australasia. Australia/New Zealand and Oceania combined are continuing to record strong growth with some 10% year on year increase in arrivals to Thailand in the first two quarters of 2012 and a 23% growth in arrivals to the Maldives over the same period.

In late 4Q/2012 Dusit International will open a regional sales office in Tokyo to provide stronger in-market coverage in Japan, which  currently generates 11% of revenue for the group worldwide.

Lastly, Dusit International has  expanded the China regional sales office with an additonal director of sales appointed to oversee northern China, based in Shanghai, and  the Hong Kong regional sales office will employ an additional sales manager to provide deeper coverage for southern China and Taiwan.

James Ramage - Assistant Vice President Sales, is delighted with the  restructuring -  “The latest expansion of the regional sales offices in Asia Pacific and Europe are  intended to drive revenue, and better support our existing properties, as well as future projects currently under development. Furthermore we want to ensure that our clients are well looked after in these key markets with the addition of senior professionals in key locations”.
