Dusit International has recently generated THB 1 million (USD 31,852) more for its ‘Dusit Smiles for Operation Smile Thailand’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaign, raising its total donations to THB 3.3 million since 2010. This year’s campaign, entitled ‘Dusit Smiles Mission II – Ongoing Surgery’, supported by the luxury hotel group to sponsor free operations for a further 85 underprivileged children with facial deformities in the year of His Majesty the King of Thailand’s 85th birthday.
‘Dusit Smiles Mission II – Ongoing Surgery’ took place at Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital in Nakhon Ratchasima province. A press conference was held on June 20, 2012 at Dusit Princess Korat Hotel to welcome visiting Dusit delegates and introduce prospective patients. Media representatives also had the chance to visit children at the hospital ward prior to their operations.
“Participating in this ongoing charitable mission for the past three consecutive years continues to inspire Dusit International staff to reach out to local communities,” said CEO of Dusit International Mr Chanin Donavanik. “We continually strive to significantly improve life for these children, and many of our staff members are very emotionally involved in the ‘Dusit Smiles’ campaign.”
