The resort has a glass water-bottling factory producing mineralized water to reduce one-way plastics. The staff recycles and composts biodegradable waste. With a focus on sustainable cuisine, we also cultivate an herb and vegetable garden.
Known for frequent sightings of dolphins and sea turtles, Mudhdhoo Island is only a ten minute speedboat ride to Hanifaru Huraa in Baa Atoll, a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve and a plankton-rich feeding ground for manta rays and whale sharks. Our resident Marine Biologist leads activities to educate guests about the beauty of underwater life on Mudhdhoo Island.
Dusit Thani Maldives is actively involved in a national shark conservation campaign and aims to achieve a total ban on shark fishing and the export and sale of shark products. We also support local Baa Atoll initiatives to protect sea turtle nesting.Founded in Bangkok in 1949, Dusit International follows the Thai tradition of delivering a personalized welcome for all guests.
