This Ramadan, step inside the bright and spacious enclaves of chic design-led Mediterranean restaurant Ostro, at dusitD2 Kenz Hotel, for a truly unique Iftar.

Available for the entire month of Ramadan, Ostro, a hidden design gem in Barsha Heights, will be offering a healthy alternative Iftar during the holy month, using real, wholefood ingredients. The hotel has wellbeing at the heart of its values and Ostro prides itself on locally sourced and fresh food, including experimenting with homegrown nutritious greens.

“The first ever Iftar of Ostro is a very exciting chapter in the dusitD2 Kenz Hotel’s continuing success since opening recently and a further commitment to focus on wellbeing and a healthy living lifestyle.,” says Terry Styles, Executive Chef of dusitD2 Kenz Hotel.

The menu is made up of a selection of nourishing soups, cold mezzeh, cold appetizers, salads, hot mezzeh, Mediterranean and Arabic main courses and more traditional Emirati dishes. Ostro will be rolling out a unique twist this Ramadan with tips for a healthy balanced iftar, including tips on how to break your fast safely and with maximum benefit for body and mind.

Cold appetizers and colorful salads include a selection of 13 options including mixed baby greens, artichoke and fennel salad and honey roasted pumpkin, all rich in vitamins, minerals and fibre. As well as the cold salad station, there will be a live cooking station featuring Spanakopita with Tzatziki, Pollo Al Diablo and Sautéed chicken liver with Pomegranate.

Along with the gluten free, delicious and indulging options on the dessert trolley, you can also go down the traditional dessert route and try Umm Ali or Basbousa. Little surprises will be added throughout the month, to keep you coming back for more! Any of the dietary restrictions can be accommodated on special request.

Natural and honest fresh juices, infused waters and refined sugar free options will all be at the heart of the daily offering. From orange and vanilla bean juice to watermelon with cucumber cooler, low calorie Laban, Tamer Hindi and Jallab, whether food traditionalists or the more adventurous, there will be something for everyone.

After your Iftar, don’t be a stranger, hang out with your friends and family and enjoy a sheesha on the terrace, which is open until midnight.

For those not fasting and looking for a breakfast or lunch venue, look no further, Ostro will be open for breakfast from 6.30am to 11.00am and for lunch from 12.30pm to 3pm.
