Dusit Thani Dubai in partnership with Canadian University Dubai (CUD) conducts a design competition specifically for the students from the school of architecture and interior design.
Fifteen freshmen students from the prestigious university have accepted the challenge to redesign the hotel’s employee cafeteria otherwise known as “Lumpini”.
Students’ creativity will be put to test as redesign entries must only use existing furniture and kitchen equipment with a sustainable approach. The completed plan should include two perspective visualizations, a mood chart with colour palette.
Founded on a vision to create things that never existed before, Dusit Thani Dubai is on a continuous quest to provide a unique experience not only for its guests but also for its employees, upholding an ideal working environment on a day to day basis; whilst engaging the community in innovative initiatives such as this.
Deadline of submission is on the 22nd of June while a panel of judges from the university and the hotel will be judging all submitted entries on the 23rd of June.
Serkan Gunay, Assistant Professor and Chair in the School of Architecture & Interior Design at CUD said, “We are delighted that Dusit Thani approached Canadian University Dubai with this unique opportunity and we look forward to seeing the final results.”
