Dusit Thani Guam welcomes new additions to award-winning culinary team

Dusit Thani Guam Resort is pleased to welcome the addition of two new members to its award-winning culinary team.

May 18th marked the appointment of Executive Chef John Beriker. John brings to this role more than 25 years of Executive Chef experience working at international hotels and restaurants in the U.S. mainland, Australia, Germany, Thailand and Singapore. He has also owned two restaurants in Beverly Hills, California and Sun Valley, Idaho.

An author of his own cookbook, John is also the recipient of various awards including Chef of the Year twice in his career.

John received his education in Canada and attended culinary school in California. He was trained by world-renowned chefs Wolfgang Puck and Jean Marie Josselin.

The second addition is Andrew Reyes as our Chef de Cuisine at Aqua who joined us on May 21st. Andrew brings to his role over 14 years of culinary experience working in Guam and California. He attended school in Guam and the International School of Art at the Art Institute in San Diego, California. Andrew competed at two national TV shows in 2015 and 2016, Guy Fieri’s Grocery Games and Cut Throat Kitchen. He has received many awards, including the 2018 Favorite Hotel Chef by Locale Magazine of San Diego and the San Diego Wine & Food Festival grand champion.
