International Olympic Committee President visits Guam

International Olympic Committee President Dr. Thomas Bach wrapped up a tour of the National Olympic Committees of three islands in Oceania with a stop in Guam.

Dusit Thani Guam Resort welcomed Bach as a guest of the hotel. A gala dinner was also held at Dusit Thani where Bach attended as the guest of the Guam National Olympic Committee.

The IOC president arrived in the U.S. territory after stops in Palau and Papua New Guinea.

The visits are the first Bach has made to the these islands as IOC president.

Bach also took a tour of Guam sport venues.

Bach flew to Guam on a private jet. He was accompanied by IOC director of NOC relations James MacLeod, IOC deputy director Pere Miro and media chief Mark Adams.

Bach heads to Hong Kong on May 11, the last stop on the journey back to IOC headquarters in Lausanne.
