The award-winning pastries team of Dusit Thani Guam Resort is excited to showcase their talent for the annual Pastries in Paradise event. “The Pastry Team and I are proud to represent Dusit Thani in such an amazing event! It is an honor to join so many extraordinary Chefs and Culinarians in support of the Guam Museum Foundation, Lend-A-Hand, and the Micronesian Chefs’ Association. The Team and I will be showcasing our very best and hope to see you all there,” said Pastry Chef Katie Lusk. Pastries in Paradise is an annual event featuring the island’s top pastry chefs from hotels and the Guam Community College culinary school paired with wine and beverages. Ten teams will compete for the Judge's Cup utilizing only two out of the three following ingredients: milk, cream cheese and butter. Aside from the pastries, the event will also feature competitions, entertainment, and a tour of the exhibit gallery at the museum. The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the Guam Museum in Hagåtña with proceeds going to benefit the Guam Museum Foundation, Micronesian Chefs Association and Lend-A-Hand. First-place winners will receive a trophy and $600, second place winners will receive $300. Teams will also be judged for Best Decorations and People's choice.
