Dusit Thani Maldives Celebrates Opening Of Baa Atoll Summer FestivalJuly 2018
Dusit Thani Maldives marked the official opening last night of the first Baa Atoll Summer Festival with a guest cocktail party to celebrate the event. Held at the resort’s Sand Bar overlooking the infinity pool and Ocean Villas as the sun set slowly in the background, guests enjoyed cocktails and canapés as they discovered more about the exciting events taking place during the Festival. The Baa Atoll Summer Festival, running for the next two weeks, has been created to bring more awareness to Baa Atoll as a destination in itself within The Maldives. Guests staying at six different resorts have the opportunity to experience other resorts by choosing to dine at some or each of the neigbouring island restaurants on dedicated nights and with specially-created set menus. Along with Dusit Thani Maldives, guests can also enjoy the varied cuisines at Soneva Fushi, Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru, Vakkaru, Finolhu and Amilla Fushi, all within easy reach of each other by speedboat. Guests visiting Dusit Thani Maldives during the Festival will enjoy an authentic Thai experience at Benjarong, the resort’s signature overwater restaurant, which takes diners to the Land of Smiles with authentic delicacies reflecting Royal Thai cuisine. Touches of antique Thai elements are tastefully infused into the modern interiors, complete with Maldivian design twists. At the end of the two-week ‘dine-around’ extravaganza, the Festival will conclude with a catamaran sailing regatta on Friday 3rd August. Further details on the Festival and participating resorts can be found on the dedicated Festival website at www.baaatollfestival.com. The resort is surrounded by white sandy beaches, a turquoise lagoon and a rich house reef. The resort is located on Mudhdhoo Island in Baa Atoll, the Maldives’ first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, just 35 minutes by seaplane from the capital city, Malé.
