Neoh Kean Boon (standing, 7th right), General Manager of Dusit Thani Pattaya led the hotel staff and management with Lim Boon Kwee, (standing, 6th right), COO of Dusit International who also joined them when the hotel participated in the ‘76 Million Hearts Mourn our Father’ memorial ceremony organised by Pattaya City and its residents to express their deepest love and respect and pay homage to the remarkable life and achievements of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Hotel representatives and their guests attended the historic commemoration held on Saturday evening, 19 November with their lit candles while joining in the prayers and loving messages for the beloved Monarch.
Pattaya holds a special place in the annals of sailing history, for it was here on 16 December 1967 that His Majesty the King competed in the 4th South East Asia Peninsular (SEAP) Games. His Majesty racing OK dinghy number 27, and his eldest daughter Princess Ubolratana, sailing dinghy no. 18, finished equal first in the OK Dinghy division, jointly winning the Gold Medal.
