Earth Day: Thai Pickles Cooking Class

Celebrate Earth Day with a hands-on Thai cooking class at ASAI Kyoto Shijo. Learn how to prepare two traditional Thai pickles commonly served as condiments in Thai cuisine.

During the class, guests will learn traditional pickling techniques, explore the balance of sweet, sour and salty flavours, and prepare their own pickles step by step.

All ingredients and equipment are provided. Each participant will take home their handmade Thai pickles in a jar.

Guided by our chef, this hands-on class introduces the fundamentals of Thai flavour balance and ingredient preservation.
Participants will prepare their own pickles and take home a jar to enjoy.
