    Shishimai Lion Dance Performance: from 11:10 at the lobby, followed by performances at each restaurant
    Koto Live Performance: 9:00, 10:00, 11:30, 12:30 (each session at Dusit Gallery)

On New Year’s Eve, Dusit Thani Kyoto will host a dazzling countdown party, followed by a New Year’s Day celebration featuring a lion dance and live koto performances.

At the countdown party, enjoy the inventive live performance by asobiyoshi who fuse jazz and contemporary music with fresh arrangements of jazz standards, filling the elegant and sophisticated space with captivating sound.
Guests can savour pinchos, free-flow drinks, and traditional toshikoshi soba, celebrating the arrival of the New Year in style. After the event, we recommend visiting Kōshō-ji Temple to experience the ringing of the New Year’s bell.

The special New Year’s Day event begins with the traditional kagami biraki, offering prayers for prosperity and peace, followed by a graceful lion dance that moves throughout the hotel, bringing good fortune. Against the backdrop of live koto music, guests are immersed in Kyoto’s refined culture, enjoying a luxurious and refreshing start to the year.
