Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort

Mount Apo

At more than 10,000 feet, Mount Apo is the tallest peak in The Philippines and the hike to the summit is well worth the adventure. Choose a trail from a range of difficulty levels and make your way to the top, with stunning scenery to enjoy along the way. Pass creeks, waterfalls, boulders, flora and fauna, and gaze over the unspoiled nature from an unparalleled vantage point.

To get to Mount Apo, travel to Sta. Cruz Tourism Office from the hotel, about 55km away from the hotel. From there, you may get your permit and hire a guide. You will start your trek from the trailhead in Barirung.

Davao Crocodile Park

About 20 minutes away, Davao Crocodile Park serves as a public viewing area, a venue for educational tours, a conservation facility and a field laboratory for students and wildlife enthusiasts. Visit to see some incredible beasts; besides crocodiles, there are raptors, monkeys, bearcats, snakes, birds and lots of other wildlife.

Museo Dabawenyo

Located around 8km away from the hotel, this museum is dedicated to the service of the community and to its development. It obtains, keeps, studies and presents material evidence of people and their environment, and visitors come for all kinds of reasons: to study, learn and research more about the community and the people that make it.

D’ Bone Collector Museum

Next to the Museo Dabawenyo is this museum with over 300 specimens from all over the world. It houses one of the biggest bone exhibitions in the country. The museum is the first of its kind in Mindanao and offers the chance to learn about animal conservation.

Eden Nature Park

Just an hour away from the hotel and located 3,000 feet above sea level, this mountain resort provides a commanding view of Davao City and the Davao Gulf. Make your way up to the popular mountain retreat to discover a once-lost environment, which has been successfully rebuilt. An action-packed day tour includes recreational activities like zip lining, sky cycling, sky swing and horseback riding.

Davao Chinatown

Situated in the heart of the downtown area, Davao's Chinatown is just 20 minutes away from the hotel and is considered one of the busiest sections in the city. At 46 hectares, it’s the largest in the world in terms of land area. Find yourself immersed in Chinese culture and take a stroll along Uyanguren and Villa Abrille in the socio-cultural district to explore malls and restaurants.

Orchidariums

Dubbed the "Queen of Filipino Orchids", The Waling-Waling was discovered on Mount Apo in 1882 by European horticulturist Henry Frederic Sander. Make your way to one of the many orchidariums in Davao City to see it for yourself. You can take a look, or buy your own Waling-Waling orchids, a Sander's Vanda or any number of the many beautiful varieties. The most popular shops include Christina Orchid Garden, Puentespina Orchid Garden and Sul Orchids.

San Pedro Cathedral

Built in 1847 by Don Jose Uyanguren during Spanish rule, the San Pedro Cathedral is the oldest church in Davao City and is located around 8km away from the hotel. An icon of the city, it is considered one of the most spectacular religious structures built during the Spanish colonisation. Named after San Pedro (or Saint Peter), the city's patron saint, the church survived two bombings in the 1990s.

Philippine Eagle Sanctuary

Spanning more than eight hectares of woodlands, the Philippine Eagle Centre is a breeding facility for the endangered raptors that can be found here on the island. Visit to get a glimpse of some of the largest and most powerful eagles in the world.  In addition to the eagles, the facility also takes care of other types of rare birds and reptiles, some of which are endemic to the country.
